The child is declared as a dependent of the trainee's father, but the lease agreement is under the mother's Tax Identification Number (AFM). The two parents are married. Who should submit the application?
The electronic application for the granting of the housing allowance is submitted by the beneficiary of the allowance, i.e., the person who is considered to support the trainee, according to the provisions of Article 11 of Law 4172/2013 (A’ 167).
If the other parent's details have been declared at the relevant step, then their AFM can also be selected as the renter at the lease details step. If the rental aggreement cannot be verified electronically, it must be submitted to the S.A.E.K., where the authorized employee will evaluate the relevant criteria in the electronic application.
I am trying to create an application as a trainee over 25 years old, but the application displays a message that I am under 25 and does not let me continue. What should I do?

No, if the trainee's sibling or the parent who does not support the trainee (in the case of divorced parents) is listed as the lessee and electronic verification fails, the lease contract and a solemn declaration from the lessee consenting to the granting of the allowance must be submitted to the S.A.E.K.. Subsequently, the S.A.E.K. will officially request a family status certificate to clarify the relationship, and the relevant criterion will be evaluated.
The trainee has transferred and cumulatively meets the six-month criterion for the two houses they rented. However, the application does not allow both lease contracts to be declared and shows that the criterion is not met. What can be done?
In the electronic application, you should declare the details of the lease contract for the city where the trainee is currently studying. After the submission of the application, you will submit a copy of both lease contracts to the S.A.E.K.
My father's main residence is in Rafina, while I am studying at the Public S.A.E.K. of Keratsini and renting an apartment in the area of Keratsini. Why does the system mark me as ineligible?
According to the current institutional framework, the trainee must reside in a rented house due to their studies in a city other than their main residence, in which neither they nor their parents have full ownership or usufruct of another residence.
Specifically for the wider area of Thessaloniki and Attica, it is noted that the urban area of Thessaloniki is considered one city, including the cities or areas that are less than twenty (20) kilometers from the center of Thessaloniki, and the prefecture of Attica is also considered one city, excluding its island areas and the cities or areas that are more than forty (40) kilometers from the center of Athens.
I have two children who are trainees. Can I submit applications for both of them?
According to the current institutional framework, the allowance is granted to all trainees of a family, provided that the prerequisites are cumulatively met.
Therefore, a separate application must be submitted for each eligible trainee in a family. In any case, definitive submission is an essential prerequisite for the applications to be evaluated.
I have usufruct of a property in the city of study; why does the system mark me as ineligible?
According to the current institutional framework, the trainee must reside in a rented house due to their studies in a city other than their main residence, in which neither they nor their parents have full ownership or usufruct of another residence.

- The cohabiting trainee studies in the same city or regional unit of study as the trainee applying for the S.A.E.K. housing allowance.
- The AFM declared as the lessee on behalf of the other trainee matches the AFM of the cohabiting trainee or includes the trainee as a protected child in their declaration.
- The lease contract for the S.A.E.K. housing allowance application includes the AFM declared for the cohabiting trainee as the lessee.
